I know what you’re thinking… FINALLY! A fashion post for men! Have you been thinking of taking a look at Missguided’s new men’s range? If you have and you haven’t yet got round to it, this is the best place for you to be because I spent a couple of hours this week searching through Mennace’s new in section. I have picked my favourite styles and I have also compared the brand to what others have to offer.
Firstly, here are my favourite pieces from the current new in section:
Grey Essential Signature Shorts – £30.00
Acid Green Lowercase Tee – £25.00
Green Tie Die Branded Sweatshirt – £40.00
White Burning Car Short Sleeve Tee – £25.00
Black Short Sleeve Panel Tee – £25.00
Black Burning Car Short Sleeve Tee – £25.00
Teal Colour Blocked Puffer Gilet – £70.00
Black Long Sleeve Regular Panelled Tee – £30.00
Black And White Regular Overhead Hoodie – £45.00
Pink Nylon Blocked Funnel Jacket – £50.00
White Snake Print Tee – £30.00
As much as I love these items (especially the quirky style ones!) One thing that really bothers me about the overall brand is the unnecessary Mennace logo that is on 90% on the clothing on the site. Do you see this on women’s clothing? No! So why is it needed on Men’s?
I compared the clothing on Mennace to one of the leading sites for men’s clothing, That would OF COURSE be Asos. Asos is known to be quite expensive to a lot of people and what I was quite shocked to find was that in general, Mennace is actually a bit more expensive than Asos is! For example, you can see above that Mennace are charging £30.00 for the long sleeve panel tee, I found an amazing Friends themed long sleeve tee on Asos for £20. See below. I personally think that £30 for a long sleeved t-shirt is a it too expensive especially for a new brand.
One of my favourites from the items above is the beautiful Teal gilet as I am in love with the colour. You may have noticed that it costs a pricey £70. To be honest though, I think that specific item is worth the money because from the picture, it look’s like it’s great quality. However, if you like Purple just as much or if not more than you do Teal, Asos have a purple gilet on sale at the moment for a more affordable £54.00. See below.
To summarise, their are definitely some gems to be found on Mennace, but the running theme of the messy Mennace logo on the clothing seems quite basic especially considering the pricing of the clothing. It also highlights how steep the pricing is considering it’s brand new.
Happy shopping no matter what site that may be on.
