I know that you’re probably missing your restaurant dates and I am too. However, this may be the perfect opportunity to get creative. Just because the restaurants are closed, doesn’t mean you have to cancel date night. Put the spark back into your relationship by having an isolation date night with your significant other. Stuck for ideas? Read on.

  • Look at all of your memories together. If this means scrolling through your camera roll than so be it. If you’re organised enough to have them, get the photo albums out. You can even make this an activity together if you are yet to make your own photo albums. You don’t have to go out to get photos printed, you can do so via the FreePrints app on your phone.
  • Camp out in your living room and make a blanket fort because being an adult sucks sometimes.
  • Snuggle up by a bonfire in the garden with a blanket, hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows.
  • Have a dessert night (after dinner of course).
  • Have a house party with just the two of you.
  • Have a movie night as if you’re having a cinema date. Ensure that you have cinema like treats to help set the atmosphere.
  • Have a pamper day together to make up for not being able to go to the spa.
  • Have a cheese and wine night.
  • Have a picnic in the garden when the weather is nice.
  • Have a BBQ not only with great food, but with great music and great alcohol too.
  • Have a candlelit homemade dinner and set the scene with some fitting music.
  • Have a game night together.
  • Have a night of making and drinking cocktails.
