Morning Routine Ideas.

If you’re not a morning person, waking up early to do something you may not feel like (work for example) can easily put you in a bad mood. This is obviously not the right note to start your morning on and can negatively affect the quality of the rest of the day. Here’s some things that you can add to your morning to help you start the morning in a more positive light.

  • Ensure to make your bed every morning as this will help to make you feel more productive.
  • Get dressed even if you’re working from home to make you feel more awake and ready for whatever the day is going to throw at you.
  • Open the curtains to let the sunshine in (hopefully)
  • Take some time before you start the day to just be with your thoughts. What are you looking forward to today? What would you like to fit in to your day?
  • If you feel unmotivated, visualise your dreams and goals to remind yourself of your reason why.
  • Stretch every morning as this can relieve any tension or pain from sleeping the night before. It also helps increase your blood flow and prepares your body for the day ahead.
  • Drink your tea or coffee outdoors so you get some fresh air first thing.
  • Listen to upbeat music that you love.
  • If you have time, do some exercise in the morning.
  • Listen to a podcast.
  • Plan out everything you need to do before you get up and take action so you are more organised and prepared.
  • Ensure to eat breakfast to give you energy for the day.
  • Drink a glass of water first thing as this helps promote a sustained flow of blood to your skin and releases toxins from your system.
  • Review your previous day’s spending.
  • Do your most important task first.
  • Water your plants and take a moment to appreciate your home.
  • Cuddle with your significant other.
  • Take your dog for a walk.
